RSNA 2024 Recap
RSNA 2024 proved to be a major milestone for Shared Medical Services. Not only did we unveil our latest mobile Cardiac PET/CT unit, but we also joined forces with United Imaging to showcase the future of flexible, high-performance imaging.
Throughout the event, our team engaged with healthcare leaders, OEM partners, and prospective clients. These conversations centered on expanding access, accelerating diagnostic workflows, and improving patient care, without the need for permanent infrastructure.
Cardiac PET/CT takes center stage
One of the most talked-about highlights was our mobile digital Cardiac PET/CT system. Designed for both cardiology and oncology applications, this solution supports dual-injection imaging, delivers absolute blood flow quantification, and improves throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
Importantly, providers saw how they could meet rising patient demand and improve diagnostic precision, without major capital investment. Because of this flexibility, our mobile units offer a fast, scalable way to bring diagnostic imaging closer to the communities that need it.
A powerful collaboration with United Imaging
At the center of our display was United Imaging’s uMI 550 digital PET/CT scanner, housed within our mobile trailer. Together, we demonstrated how next-generation imaging can be deployed with speed, reliability, and confidence.
In addition, attendees learned how mobile solutions can streamline patient care and boost operational efficiency. By combining premium equipment with Shared Medical Services’ trusted service model, facilities can expect imaging that performs like a fixed suite, without the long lead times or construction delays.
